Job Description / Responsibilities (all duties that you want this candidate to perform) :
Construction activities in the High Voltage equipments at Site.
Familiar with good engineering practices in Installation, testing, High Voltage Equipments like Power Transformers, Circuit Breakers, and Isolators, Protection Panels etc .
Familiar with Safety rules and standards for construction and Switching and earthing procedures. Should have good knowledge of Electrical Design and Engineering standards, Electrical construction standards.
To ensure that assigned construction activities are carried out according to schedule within construction budget and meeting safety and quality requirements.
Check constructability and completeness of construction packages, Foundations, Civil design and Drawings, provide feedback for improvements.
Liaise with contractors in assessing risks, implement mitigating measures, maintain quality and to resolve any issues that may prevent timely completion of assigned works.
Obtain proper authorizations and manage changes in the works, which occur during the construction phase of the assigned works.
Assess and review tie-in work packages and advise on requirement of changes in design, work method statement, extra precautions to be taken and timing of various implementation and testing activities. Assist in co-coordinating the tie-ins of constructed system to existing grid/system in a safe manner, update documentation.
Ensure QA/QC and best practice adherence in construction activities. In line with this, witness and accept/reject loop and functional tests. Preparation of proper “as-built” drawing after commissioning.
Desired profile of the candidate (Key Skills, knowledge, traits etc.) :
B.Tech /B.E/ Diploma. (Civil)
Min 3 to 7 Years Experience in the similar type of Projects ( Substation Erection Commissioning with & up to 330 or 400 kV substations)
Handling of large team of subcontractors
Handled Minimum 2 Projects independently as Project engineer- Civil
Worked in a reputable Electro-Mechanical company.
Effective leadership Capability
Possession of sound managerial skills.
Strong communication, negotiation and reporting skills
Knowledge of project planning and latest engineering techniques.
Strong command of English –written & spoken.
Computer Literacy: Proficient in common software applications like MS Projects,
